Volunteers
Volunteers are integral to the success of our program, enriching and enlivening our daily work. Volunteers also find their time at the Edible Schoolyard to be deeply rewarding. And most importantly, volunteers demonstrate to their students the caring and commitment of their larger community.
There are three ways to volunteer at the Edible Schoolyard: volunteer with students in the kitchen or garden classrooms, help maintain the Edible Schoolyard garden with out Wednesday weeding crew, or participate in one of three community garden workdays throughout the school year.
We ask that all volunteers commit to working with us for at least one semester. We regret that we are unable to engage in short-term volunteers in the garden and kitchen classroom.
