Program Coordinator Shaina Robbins has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and has cooked in the kitchens of Chez Panisse and Gramercy Tavern. Ms. Robbins has taught health, food, and nutrition education throughout New York state, and will complete her masters’ degree in health education in August 2010 from the Teachers College at Columbia University.
Shaina's interest in food began as a child growing up in Wisconsin. Ms. Robbins’ passion for working with children, food, and gardening was sparked after hearing Alice Waters speak at the James Beard awards in 2004. It has been Shaina's dream since then to work at the Edible Schoolyard, and she is elated to be a part of such a wonderful team.
