This July, the Edible Schoolyard hosted two academies. Each academy provided kitchen, garden, and classroom educators with tools for teaching Edible Education—an integrated approach to hands-on education in the kitchen, classroom, lunchroom, and garden.
Educators and program administrators came from across California, throughout the United States as far as Hawaii, and the United Kingdom to learn first-hand about the Edible Schoolyard. Two full days of sessions included Edible Education in the Kitchen, Lesson Planning, Community Building, and hands-on activities in the Edible Schoolyard kitchen and garden classrooms.
